In this episode, Ibis Valles and Jennifer Gorney, spokespeople for Valley Bloom, share the story of the Chandler-based nonprofit that is transforming the lives of children and adults through community programs. What began nearly 36 years ago as a group of women delivering clothes out of the trunk of a car has grown into an independent organization funded largely by its own volunteer-operated thrift shop, where every purchase helps remove barriers and create opportunities for neighbors in need. Ibis and Jennifer walk through the Valley Bloom Students and Valley Bloom Cares programs, the volunteers who make it all possible, and what community-driven giving looks like in the East Valley.
